Old training films... I love these things...

Sometimes I go down weird rabbit holes on youtube. One time was eagles hunting wolves in Mongolia, that one cost me about 5 hours of my life and a most of a good bottle of scotch.

Lately it has been old police training films. I actually learn a lot from some of them and realize why we do things the way we do now a days. Others offer a glimpse into simpler times and some cool footage of vintage now, yet high tech then weapons. I found this one today that has all of the elements of a classic: cool weapons, great old cars, horrible 70's fashion, unsavory characters, and a great narrator.

One of the best ones around is "Surviving Edged Weapons". It's has a ton of reenactments in it of what I presume are actual events but oftentimes border on the absurd. I found it via Red Letter Media and you can either watch their review of it or watch it on its own on YouTube.
