My totally uninformed guess? EOT has a long .mil presence, and I believe the M17 and M18 are cut for the DPP.

I like that it is powered by a CR123 battery. Lol.
Frankly, it looks like a rebranded Bushnell RXS. I'm surprised EO Tech didn't do the smart thing and make this an enclosed emitter especially if they want to go for some kind of .mil or .gov contract.

Fn 509 the Dpp is basically direct attach also. So the Eotech would work well on the MRD and probably cowitness well with factory sights.
Price seems quite well considering.

Saw it at SHOT. Had one question about it's width, with regard to the power buttons, and any issues in duty rigs. Never got an answer. Meh.
