    6mm Grendel vs 6mm AR?

I saw a listing for a 6mm Grendel and when I started googling for info beyond “necked down 6.5 Grendel” most of what I’m finding is about the 6mm AR.

The 6mm AR seems to be identical but I don’t know what I don’t know, etc.

Is there a difference or is ammo and load data interchangeable?

So there are some Grendel-based 6mm Wildcats and then the SAAMI 6mm ARC made by Hornady.

Biggest difference is probably overall length in body and neck. Hornady essentially took a 6.5 Grendel case and optimized it to work with 108-110 grain bullets. Lighter bullets will work, obviously, but the cartridge was intended to run the heaviest 6mm bullets available.

Thanks! If I decide to pick one up I suppose it would be prudent to verify exactly which one it is and what data they used.
