I would run that thing wet. As in oil spraying 72 Harley wet.

Known good GI mag is a good idea if it can use them.

The ammo shouldn't be an issue.

Call the factory.

Running it wet,
Loading various #s of rounds in the magazines for various spring tensions/ load of ammunition,
Getting 20 round magazines new from Numrich/ Gun Parts Company.
