I am probably remembering this wrong but…
Back in my tactical ninja days I seem to recall having a dump pouch that had a sort of spring loaded mouth on it? My recollection is that it kind of snapped shut or held itself shut, but then could easily be pulled/sprung open.
Is, or was, that a thing? Anyone point me in the right direction?
I’m about to go out in the workshop and start digging through storage so maybe I’ll come back and update my own thread…

The Emdom dump pouch has a stiffened flap at the top that kinda serves a similar purpose, preventing objects from falling out while still allowing magazines to be inserted.
Blue Force Gear's newish Medium Dump Pouch has a similar slotted opening.

I believe that uses the spring to deploy from collapsed to extended.
I believe that one uses the spring simply to reinforce the rim, and hold its shape, while relying on some flaps to make it “one way”.
The one I’m thinking of kind of snapped open and then snapped closed.
