    Looking for linen, button-up shirts

My favorite fabric for a shirt is linen. I like how it wears, how comfortable it is, and how it seems like it was purposely designed to conceal guns. Some years ago I bought a whole bunch of long sleeve, linen, button-up shirts from Old Navy for something around $20 a piece. They’ve been great for years but now are starting to show some thin spots and tiny holes. I’m looking to replace them. Old Navy doesn’t seem to offer shirts like this any more. The ones I am finding online are closer to $100 a piece. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Short sleeves at Land's End. No experience with them (the shirts), but they're running a sale now, so it looks like the price is right.

Following. I live in the Deep South and don’t have any linen shirts. Maybe @SouthNarc has some suggestions.

You'll need to move the decimal in your budget one place to the right if you want to take his advice.

I find Amazon to have a decent selection of such things.....

It's a bit of work to find clothing with both good reviews and in styles that I like. I typically order 4-5 items and keep only 1-2 due to fit or quality... but... I find it much easier than shopping at the stores and Amazon makes returning things very easy. Shirts are especially challenging being short (hate wearing shorts that go past my butt untucked) with a wide chest, but, once I find a seller that fits me well, I order multiples in different styles/colors.

A lot of Guayaberas are linen. Once you try a Guayabera with the extra pockets down low, all other button down casual shirts seem silly. The extra pockets are quite useful.

Not really digging the look of those extra pockets at the bottom.

Agreed, handy or not I don’t see that style working for me. I’ll keep them in mind if I ever decide to move to south Florida, buy a Panama hat and cruise the shopping centers near senior communities trying to pick up rich widow women.

ETA: after digging around on that website this style looks pretty nice, though it is a blend.

And if you’re planning on starting a cult cubavera has you covered.

Charles Tyrwhitt multibuy deals with a sales code.

I've place four orders with them over the past six months and have been very pleased with everything. Shirts usually end up costing between $30 and $40. Previously I was buying $20 shirts at Belk that quickly frayed and looked awful. The Tyrwhitt shirts are all still pretty new, but so far I'm very pleased.

Same goes for the H&M website.

There will be a lot of linen around this summer. Plenty of options to choose from.
