Also looks like the Storm 400 will be phased out for the 450 some time soon. The 500R is already out, if you prefer a sealed rechargeable instead, though for my uses, I would much rather have the ability to swap batteries on the fly as needed.
I've never had a BD headlamp, but I'll probably pick some up next month when I make an order on some other BD stuff.
Well, since the Storm 400 is getting phased out...I found one locally for $44 CAD.
Given the probability that I'll lose it overboard before I wear it out, I figured decent and cheap beats premium.
Thanks for the direction - I bet this is a pretty big step up from my old headlamp, which can now be a dedicated vehicle backup.
