More developments on the case of the dismembered bicycle-riding bandits in Oklahoma

I spent a bunch of time searching and finally found the mention in the shooting incidents thread:

Anyway, the local Law Enforcement folks had a suspect and formally charged him.

Apparently the boys-in-bits were going to go rob a dude that runs a scrap yard; he turned out to be a tougher nut to crack than they thought.
(I would still guess he was an organized crime associate; something about the circumstances yells drug distribution to me. I wonder if they were lured there, or it was truly a case of FAFO.)

Yikes...it sure sounds like they failed the victim selection pretty spectacularly.

Not to put this dude on a pedestal. Anyone who would vivisect 4 people is not the kind of fish that should be swimming with all the other critters in the sea.

A search of a nearby scrap yard turned up evidence of a “violent event,” and police were looking to speak to Kennedy, who had been interviewed by cops Friday before going missing a day later, police said.

Kennedy was not considered a suspect, but was possibly suicidal, according to Prentice.

    Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Adding nothing to the conversation since 2015....

Turns out the .32 gun in his pocket really was just for fun since he went to work with a rifle and a blade that might have come from his shoe.
