Never had the opportunity to shoot a push-pull, or straight pull rifle. Seems to me that every few years a company will introduce 1 with a lot of fanfare but then it makes absolutely no Splash in the water at all.

These seem like a great 'upgrade' and all but doesn't the straight pull really invite the action getting opened in the field by snagging or brush/debris compared to a bolt which requires an uplift before pull? I'm interested but the price point is steep enough that I don't see these making a big splash here stateside.
Considering that such a prolific portion of bolt action rifles that have been made in history, including those used in combat, have a three position safety that locks the bolt, I think it will be fine. This is the first time I have ever heard it referenced as a concern.
Not to mention that the safety come off from either of the safe positions with the exact same motion…
