    Gaol Delivery

No shooting yet, so it goes here:

On Friday, a (female) assistant director of corrections checked a felon out of jail for a mental evaluation at the courthouse, thence to a visit to her doctor. Only problem was, there was no appointment for either and she violated her own requirement of two escorts per con. The county car turned up in a shopping center parking lot. Neither has been seen since.

A lot of people jumped to a conclusion of collusion. Seems the sheriff now agrees.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for the Lauderdale County assistant director of corrections that has been missing with an inmate charged with capital murder, Sheriff Rick Singleton said at a Monday morning press conference.

There are all sorts of little circumstantial details, like reports that she had turned in her retirement papers and Friday was her last day at work. And that she had sold her house. And commented that she would soon be on the beach with her boyfriend.

You see, a con's love is very different from that of a square.

Sadly it’s not an uncommon occurrence. I read a thread on a FB group called Humanizing the Badge. The COs all called it right away.
Just a dog chauffeur that used to hold the dumb end of the leash.

There was an agent in Miami who would use the "igloo", (the U.S. Attorney's office at the federal courthouse downtown), to have sex with a (very) cooperating defendant over a period of time.

I mean, pick your venues better...unless you really want to get court caught.

In the current instance, the first thought that came to mind was that it was planned from the get-go. (Whether coerced or not, remains to be seen.)
There's nothing civil about this war.

And the sad reality is...while she's believed they were going to live "happily ever after" during the entire planning phase, as soon as they got to the getaway car loaded with her cash and their belongings, he most likely put her in a shallow grave. Lots of places to dump a body in NW Alabama.

Read the details of his initial crime and subsequent apprehension...this guy's a shitbag of the highest order.

The apprehension for this escapade is going to result in extreme violence. I hope it ends poorly for him, and not a Wolfhunter tasked with cleaning up her dumbassery.

Middle aged female CO and 30 something murder.

First one I thought of which was sorta local to me was Mario Centobie back in 2005, she staged the car and let him walk out...

A friend worked for Texas Corrections. In the academy, the instructors remarked that if a CO isn't a 9 or a 10 outside, she isn't going to become one inside the prison walls.

Good luck getting funding for that this day and age. We can’t keep middle aged women with the same haircut they wore in highschool and really low self esteem from working at the men’s jailhouse. (I’m not a professional, but it’s a pattern I’ve noticed).
