I tried not to be That Nerd but wife and I came from schools that would award a whopping zero credit for answers that did not show the math. So:
Full acknowledgement that solving for a righthand variable vs. left-side is a contentious practice. See also use of ditto marks to generate whitespace and avoid crowding. And, yes, my last AP Algebra teacher would have red inked the omitted = and possibly slapped me with a small demerit. Depending on mood, the failure to show subtraction would have received a small comment or larger demerit.
