It's a lot easier to engrave 'XYZ Trust' than 'The John Jay Finkelheimer and Extended Family Trust, Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States of America, Trust'.

I went the LLC route and just used my 4 letter initials as the name. It keeps it simple and less prone to error with engraving. It's also short which is great with placement on the receiver. Thank God I don't live in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch. That would be self-defeating.

Where does one get the engraving accomplished?
"... And miles to go before I sleep".
I use a guy in Epping who SIG suggested for laser engraving. He does it while you wait, and it’s very nice work.

What is the most common / preferred location for the “maker” information to be engraved?
I was originally thinking the right side of the magwell (exterior, of course), as they are blank on all the receivers I’m going to Form 1.
But now I’m eyeing the top of the receiver above the trigger area on the right side of the receiver. So, same location, but opposite side as the “manufacturer” information.
