    Best 80’s cop movie?

I’m going with To Live and Die in LA.

My favorite from the 80s would be The Untouchables.

RoboCop, Colors and To Live and Die in LA would be next up for me.

Tons of good ones from the 80s though, Red Heat, Lethal Weapon, Police Academy, Naked Gun, etc. Depending on a persons' tastes I could easily see any of these becoming "the best" of the 80s.

Easy. Die Hard! It's also the best Christmas movie!

Manhunter (1986). Not a pure "cop" movie but cool nonetheless.

To live and die and manhunter are both right up there. Ironic that William Peterson all but disappeared until CSI, given that he was the lead in those two killers. Colors and The Presidio also delivered. Oh, and Year of the Dragon was a bit of a sleeper.

No love for Beverley Hills Cop?

While I love to Live and Die in LA, especially the theme song, my choice would be an early one....

"Running Scared" with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines was a fun buddy / cop movie from the 80's.

Not a cop movie, but I've always thought "84 Charlie MoPic" was good.
