There are far more to choose from in the 90s in my opinion, and a much greater number of decent ones.
No one liked Lone Wolf McQuade??? Early “Shockwave” shotgun action.
It was way better than Invasion USA…

Though Die Hard has cops in it, it’s not really a “cop” movie.
Extreme Prejudice (1987) > Lone Wolf McQuade.
Best Seller is good but more Crime movie than Cop movie.
However, the next year (1988) James Woods teamed up with Charles Durning in the imaginatively titled film “Cop” which definitely is a Cop movie. Luckily the film is much better than the title.
