I was shooting this stuff when I was a kid in grade school. I had a Rossi (I think) lever action 357/38 that blasted many a water jug or tree stump.
I’ve still got a box or two of 158gr taking up space on the shelf. Too old to carry, to cool to just shoot up.

Other than offerings in hollow point are there any difference between the Nyclad and the coated bullets of today?
Federal says the synthetic jacket is substantially different than the old nylon coating. I suspect that functionally (for the bullet itself) there's not much of a dissimilarity, but the Syntech is a completely different round than Nyclad as far as primer and powder also.
An interesting concept in it's time. The current powercoated bullets would seem to have a similar effect.
Recently, a guy was shooting Syntech and folks said that it smelled significantly different from other rounds. Since my allergies stuff up my nose, I have no idea. Just sharing what I heard. We were indoors, BTW.
