Striker Control Device legal under IDPA rules?

The old and new rules do not specifically address whether SCD is legal in IDPA. It is not banned but especially in SSP the rules don't allow for non-factory magazine or slide release and other exterior physical alterations other than cosmetic.

As the new rules are written, it would appear that the use of an SCD is not allowed on a pistol in the SSP Division.

But then, many IDPA rules are typically a mystery wrapped in an enigma, subject to local interpretation, poorly communicated, and often ignored. So who knows?
