Is 1 loose screw too much?

I managed to strip out a screw thread in an Aimpoint T2. Tried to repair it with the Brownells thread repair pack (slightly larger tap and associated screws). Failed.

I really don't think this particular thread hole is salvageable.

I hate to consign such an expensive optic to a .22 LR platform for just plinking.

The mount itself is Daniel Defense and I would like to place it on a 5.56 AR platform. (Not for hard use.)

What does the hive mind think of just going with 3 (of 4) properly torqued and blue loctited screws and just calling it good? Any epoxy-ish options maybe? Just put it on a plinker you cheap weasel?
    My apologies to weasels.

I would reach out to Aimpoint - they may be able to fix you up.

Is it threaded or helicoiled? Either way the answer may be to helicoil it.

T2/H2 are equipped with helicoils. If the OP will send me a PM, I'll get you fixed up with an RMA link to get it fixed.

Looks like Wayne is already getting you fixed up, but just wanted to say I had the same thing happen and Aimpoint took care of it and got it back to me within a few weeks and it was good as new.

I remember reading this post a while back and had a question regarding this. My Geisselle T1/T2 mount says Aimpoint recommends using thread locker on the screws but I was under the impression that it was not necessary with the helicoil setup. Can you recommend the best practice here as I'm just about to mount my T2.
