While I was getting ready to load up some .44spl OWCs last night, I made a discovery. The two bricks of what I THOUGHT were CCI 300 are actually CCI 350. How/when this occurred is a life mystery as I don’t own anything that would use them. My guess is that I didn’t read the fine print.
Has anyone subbed these? Typically, I use Unique in everything .44. Initial thoughts are perhaps backing off the usual 7.5gr, and 6.5gr loads maybe by 3/4 or a full grain and see what happens. Option “B” is to bite the proverbial bullet and grab some off GB since the usual sources are out of stock. I have about 100 prepped and primed cases, plus enough loaded to keep me happy through the spring, but sooner or later the fun’s gonna end.
Suggestions?
