I remember a USPSA nationals at PASA Park 96-98ish, can not remember the exact year. Top 16 were offered a 1 chance to shoot a 16.0 Hit factor for $25,000, I forget who the sponsor was (Gungames magazine or a bullet company both sound vaugley right). NOBODY won the cash with the pressure of $25k on the line, I remember Matt Burkett making the fastest time of 3.2 something but less than azone hits and a mike or 2 ( I remeber the camera man joking about moving the downrange video camera tripod after his run). Someone shot a 3.8 something second run with 12 hits on the targets but a HF<16. Best I can remeber of a side match more than 20 years ago but it was far from clean runs under the pressure of that particular sidematch(couple hundred spectators + huge monetary incentive on a single zero/hero run), maybe they held it multiple years?
