Sure looks like the Instagram bait that Sig is interested in producing and selling.

As much as I may not like Sig, at least they’re producing some interesting stuff. I could see this as a mostly ready open gun, just add your optic and go.

What division in USPSA would this be in, Open?

That didn't take long. Phil Strader was just on Humble marksman podcast talking about the spectre being possibly in the future for the 320.

Sig has owned all the innovation for last couple years.
The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

    Humbly improving with CZ's.

Open. It has a compensator which automatically bumps it to open.

I think the industry has actually been quite slow to respond to the demand for compensated/ported service pistols. Almost all the innovation in this space has been in the aftermarket. The 'Roland Special' configuration has long since migrated from the military to the enthusiast community, but we've seen few factory compensated, optics ready pistols. Honestly, when I saw the 320 Spectre Comp my first thought was that SIG had partnered with Parker Mountain Machine, who has been marketing this configuration for years.

Shockingly Smith and Wesson has been a leader in this space; I think ported CORE models date back to 2016. Perhaps earlier.

Glock has all the legos to make a similar product - they've had ported versions of their guns for decades (though the porting itself could use some improvement). But how hard would it be to rework their ported models with a MOS mounting system?

Hopefully seeing SIG promote this kind of factory configuration will prompt other manufacturers to follow.

What market research indicated to them that people wanted guns that looked like something a pimp would carry?
