Week 42: 3 Bills
results may be posted until 11:59pm EDT on Monday 3-October-2012.

Range: 7 to 25 yds
Target: 8” circle
Start position: concealed
Rounds fired: 18 shots

1. Start 7 yards from the target. On the buzzer, draw and fire six rounds to the 8" circle. Record the time and the number of hits obtained.

2. Move 15 yards away from the target and repeat the Bill drill.

3. Move to 25 yards and complete the drill again.

Please report the following when responding to this thread:

• Start position (pistol, holster type, concealment)
• For each distance, report the time to fire all six shots and the number of hits.

One of the 3 misses at 25Y was ammo related, it key-holed.

I'm not that happy with my performance, but that's what happens when you don't practice.

I shot this three times after my cold F.A.S.T. upon arrival at the range.

Run #1: 10.21, four points down

• 7yd: 2.19 (1.28 draw)
• 15yd: 3.39 down 2 (1.50 draw)
• 25yd: 4.63 down 2 (1.80 draw)

Run #2: 10.78 clean

• 7yd: 2.02 (1.19 draw)
• 15yd: 3.72 (1.62 draw)
• 25yd: 5.04 (1.84 draw)

Run #3: 9.74, three points down

• 7yd: 2.03 (1.21 draw)
• 15yd: 3.57 down 1 (1.60 draw)
• 25yd: 4.14 down 2 (1.60 draw)

I'm very disappointed with my 7yd draw and subsequently slow overall Bill @ 7yd.

On the first run I paid no attention to trigger control (because you don't need to with a 1911, I thought?!?). My second run I was very purposeful on each sight picture, while the third was a little more wild -- especially at 25yd -- and failed to turn in good results.

Gen3 G34, concealed in a Keeper under a t-shirt

7 yds: .99 draw, 2.08 total, clean - slow splits I guess, hmmm.
15 yds: 1.14 draw, 2.78 total, clean - surprised myself here.
25 yds: 1.21 draw, 3.60 total, -3 - yeah, that's more like me!

Total: 8.46, 3 points down.

Ran it a couple of times.

1st run:
7 yards 5.22 clean
15 yards 9.08 -1
25 yards 15.9 -2

Then I wanted to go faster

2nd Run, run backwards
25 yards 9.69 -3
15 yards 9.01 -1
7 yards 4.85 clean

Then I wanted more accuracy

7 yards 4.26 clean
15 yards 9.05 clean
25 yards 13.78 -1

shot with a Kimber Warrior 1911 shooting 230gr ball ammo from a C-Tac IWB concealed under a t-shirt.

M&P9 w/RMR07 carried AIWB in a CCC Looper from under a TNF shirt.

Ran this a couple of times, finding I could go slow and get perfect hits or fast with lots of misses; my run with the best combination of speed and accuracy was:

7 yds: 2.59 sec/6 hits (1.63 sec draw)
15 yds: 4.24 sec/5 hits (1.82 sec draw)
25 yds: 4.86 sec/5 hits (1.88 sec draw)
