    1st GO at CO! Thoughts

    Short thoughts,

I'm finally going to give CO a go. Dropped the coin on SROs (yes more than one)
and a couple of guns to host them.

Zeroed and when to a local outlaw steel challenge.

    Dots feel slow...they are not!
The dot is there and ready.
It is yelling at you to break the freaking shot!
That creates proper trigger manipulation issues...like yanking it from left field!

For me, acquiring iron sights goes hand in hand with trigger prep and when the two match up, bang!

Irons give me time to break the shot. Red Dots are ready WAY before I am.

I hate the thought of slow, except when driving on ice, but that is what I need to do. Think methodical, not slow.

I mentioned "feel slow". That steel match? I won 3 of 6 stages! They all felt out of control. (out of my Iron Sight comfort zone)

I will add that ACCURACY is back in spades with RDS and accurate guns! I can draw (Mel Gibson) happy faces at 7 yards on request.

Looking forward to better outdoor weather so I can push the yardage out to...75yard plate rack? We'll see.

    Thanks for listening

    Best
    Patrick

No mention of what the dots are mounted on.

G34, CZCustom Bullshadow and Sig 320X5 I zeroed all of them and shot the Sig and Glock at the match.

I LOVE my CZ's, but I shot one all last year and like to change it up.

In my opinion, you certainly put the right dot on. My first carry optics Pistol (G34) has a DeltaPoint on it. I much prefer the SRO, and of course the Shadow 2 which hosts it.

Outstanding. Will there be a new "I shoot an SRO out of the box video?

I broke a few lesser RDS and ya can't get your own crap together and battle that too.

Back of my head plan. I ran a CZ TSO40 in limited for the 2021 season and may run the Legion X5 in CO for 2022.

Both should end up as long term out of the box videos.

The neat thing about CO, is the gun almost doesn't matter. There is enough variety in stages, mostly things even out.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

I get it depends on the end user. I can perform noticeably better with my Shadow 2 CO than I ever did with my G34 CO.
