    Apex Tactical S&W K Frame Armorer's Course - 3/19/22 - Monongahela, PA

While there's a lot of interest in revolvers lately, few seem to know much about how revolvers work or how to keep them working reliably...but the knowledge is available!

This armorer course will show you everything you need to know to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and tune a K frame revolver. This class is instructed by Master Gunsmith Randy Lee of Apex Tactical, known across the country for building match-winning competition revolvers!
    Topics will include:

    • Basic operation and function
    • Design
    • Interaction of parts
    • Proper safety checks
    • Assembly & Disassembly
    • Inspection of parts for excessive wear
    • Maintenance
    • Reassembly
    • Modification / Customization
    • Compatibility
    • Troubleshooting
    • Theory
    • Q&A

As this is an armorer's course, you will need some basic tools and supplies. Work will be done on your revolver. Students will also need to bring the following equipment:

    • Serviceable centerfire K Frame Revolver
    • Appropriate screwdrivers to remove sideplate, grips and strain screw. (Hollow ground)
    • S&W K, L, N frame Yoke/Crane alignment tool (Brownells part # 080-616-002WB)
    • Rebound Slide Spring Tool (Brownells part # 080-666-000WB)
    • Optional: Bench Block, Hammers, Punches, Screwdrivers, Flashlights

Lunch (bring your own, we may work through lunch)

This class is sponsored by Aridus Industries and Dark Star Gear!

This is a rare opportunity to learn how buy a good wheelgun, repair one that needs a little help, or keep one going in an age where there are precious few who have the knowledge to do so. And the information is coming from someone with a demonstrated track record of building great revolvers and engineering solutions to problems for firearms manufacturers.

I'm signed up. I can probably find a K-Frame to work on. This is less than 2 hours from home.

Will this get into minor fitting of parts?

I believe that will be included in the "modification/customization" bit as even some of Apex's revolver parts need some fitting on some guns.

That sounds about right, thanks. I’m a revolver noob and will likely sign up. Where it’s a full day’s drive for me I wanted to check first.

I was thinking the same thing. I’d love to go but with my schedule the next few months that’s not happening.
