Not a lot of retention without the thong. Fell out twice while sledding.

    Cool

Nice work. Still waiting for the news blurb, "An esteemed member of our local community, 03RN was for unknown reasons spotted on Dead Man's Toboggan run with his wife's hairdryer and a 500 foot extension cord for several hours...."

    Best, Jon

Maybe a Hill People chest rig for the sledding?

New leather week here as well. Not as snazzy as yours however. Just a simple TripleK to act as a field holster for my M28.

I just didn't utilize the hammer thong. I was hoping for a little more retention without the thong

Nope. Not going there. Not at all.

Lower retention than the common stout Simply Rugged passive retention or lower retention in the "couple pounds of steel at speed will not be denied"?

And how are you liking the 2x2x2 for 357 Mag?

Alpine sports have left me defaulting to the opinion that active retention is the only retention when moving.

I have a sourdough pancake for my Blackhawk. That's tight.

This is very minimal. I got this holster in the hopes it had more retention. I am kinda disappointed. With the thong it's fine.

I was just planning on the thong for canoeing and I guess sledding.

The 2x2x2 is nice. I've had one of their speedloader pouches forever. This is nicer and I like the separation.

It's really just for administrative loads after pot shots at dinner.

Thanks. I've been considering one of these for my Single-Six and slow Vaquero build but will have to have a think, now.
