    Black Hills Tac XP 115 +p in a G43?

    Any reason not to carry this load in a Glock 43?
    Personal experience?
    Suggestions?

    Thanks. I noticed you shot something like 200 rounds of them in a G43 in the G43 thread.

    FWIW... Black Hills has a gel test pic of it from a 3" barrel.

    Doc Roberts tested them and got.

    BG=15.0
    4LD=14
    Auto glass=13.5

    That Black Hills test was with a 3" gun.

    The Barnes TAC-XP is a very good bullet in 9mm, especially when the velocity is over 1100 fps.
    The Black Hills loading goes 1137 fps from a 3 inch auto.

    Have to remember this is a light bullet in a small gun. I'd prefer a bit more myself, but I'd choose this stuff over just about any other 115gr 9x19 load, if I had to stick with light bullets for some reason.

    And, not everyone wants .357 Magnum 158gr SWC penetration.

    So, is there a recommended load for 3" barrels in 9mm?

    When I did some research a few years ago for a recommended load in a 3.5" 9mm barrel, I read that the 147 gr HST round was among the best and that's what I went with. I don't recall if it was also recommended for 3" barrels.
