Thanks for this. I have both the Win NATO and the Fed AE in quantity, as well as a G19 and a 642. Nice to know what that ammo's doing out of those launchers. Cheers!

Thanks for the chrono data. Probably going to go to a G19.3 in the next few weeks as my new "primary'' CC so knowing what ball ammo does from it is great.

Is the Winchester 9mm 124-grain FMJ that you tested in your 19.5 the WINUSA9MM or the Q4318 load?

It's the Q4318 -- my favorite practice ammo. Not as warm as carry ammo, but close enough that I don't get too complacent!

Thanks. I've got cases of the Q-load for training/practice.

Like you, I got some pretty sedate performance out the Norma 124-grain FMJ in my Glock 17...average was about 1,095 fps with an SD of 18 even though they claim a muzzle velocity of 1,181 fps.

Only got three boxes, sent it all down-range quite some time ago. I'll be sticking with the 'Q' load for the time being.

I'm down to just two cases and change -- I stacked it deep when it was 20 cents/rd. I've been waiting for the price to come down a bit more, but can only wait so long! Might have to buy again at the current 35-40 cents.

Excellent! Thanks for this. I had previously ordered some of that Norma 9mm and .38 spl and picked up some .38 spl HS Deep last week. I have been carrying that Norma .38 in little 4 round speed strips for j- frame reloads because it seemed pretty warm, has a decent meplat and reloads easier than WC or SWC ammo.

You're very welcome.. I found the HS Deep to be fairly mild (and accurate) in the Airweight J, comparable to the 110+P Hornady CD I typically carry in it.

That is good to hear. I am very eager to see some independent proper gel tests on the HS Deep. That could be a really interesting option for .380 and .38 SPL.
