A question about the Shield RMSc light sensor

I have heard some negative reports on the glass lens option, from long time Shield users, and would go poly lens.

A USPSA CO shooter, retired LE, competes with a Shield, and has a number of former colleagues using them. With the glass versions, they reported odd dot visuals in different lighting conditions, that they had not experienced with the polymer lenses. Enough so, they discontinued using them.
