I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.

Why do you hate heroes, bro?

Heck, in my area, we had a house in my neighborhood that had “heroes live here” and “heroes work here” signs prominently displayed in the yard during the first half of 2020. Both occupants worked from home that entire time.

Using that yardstick, we could include teleworkers in that poster.

I dont have a problem with medical personnel being lauded as heroes.
I have a severe problem with them using anything associated with military battles as comparison.
Those military men went through hell and their actions deserve respect and a grateful nation through eternity.
    There is no comparison.
If I were in that hospital Id take the picture off the wall myself and be headed to administration.
    I'll wager you a PF dollar™ 😎

It takes a special kind of… something…. to post a sign in your yard declaring yourself a hero.

I think the technical term you're looking for is:

    chutz·pah

    /ˈho͝otspə,ˈKHo͝otspə/

    nounINFORMAL

    extreme self-confidence or audacity.
"love him or hate him, you have to admire his chutzpah"
There's nothing civil about this war.

Or an asshole with chutzpah. There's no limit to the possibilities.

Would adding pretentious to that work? Or, is that already covered by chutzpah?
