Awaiting a P2
Plan is for it to be direct milled to a G22 upper.
Recoil impulse of the .40 is driving the train and pushed me to the ACRO.
YMMV

After a longer wait than promised by a semi local gunsmith ( I know right...) I have the P-2 mounted up and "zeroed"
Initial impressions after 150 rounds:
1. After shooting mostly 115/124 9mm thru an G17, I "feel" 180g .40 cal. In contrast, my G35 felt no snappier than a G19 with 124+p. I may simply be getting old.
2. The optic is certainly bigger than the 507.
3. 14 Clicks up and 4 over is what it took for an acceptable 10/25 zero shooting free style on a directed milled G22 Gen 3 upper mated to my circa 2004 OD Green G35 lower.
4. The plan is to shoot it for 500 ish rounds and then put on some all black Ameriglos BUIS (no "co witnessing,” rear sight 1 credit card width to the right and a check for POI/POA at 0-15.
5. While closed emitter is probably better, it may not be needed for a CCW/EDC/NON Uniformed user whereas a closed emitter may be best practices for uniformed/"hard" use applications.
Pics to follow.

My first RDS pistol is a G22 with a DPP. I have 13k rounds (and change)through it, carry it almost every day for work. I’ve been carrying/shooting it since June 2019, zero problems. Not sure how helpful that is, but hopefully a useful data point.
I have a Glock 20 milled for Acro, and it's held up to nuclear 10mm loads just fine.
