Is it okay to take a picture of your yard?

If you click this link, you can see the Senate Floor calendar, which shows the current "striker" amendment likely proposed by the dems with the blessing of AG Ferguson.

It appears on a quick reading to ban the sale "importation" and "distribution" of magazines of, of course, ten rounds.

The republicans have added a bunch of proposed amendments -- so there should be a fair amount of bickering before it can pass the senate. I think the cutoff for the house of origin (here the Senate) is next Tuesday the 15th.

The floor calendars are actually interesting to watch to see what is passing easily and what is not.

Looks like the substitute bill sets the limit at 17 rounds—clearly a nod to popular handguns, while aiming at AR-pattern rifles.

It's all pretty sausage-like, with a combination of tea leaves, but the substitute bill with the 17 round reference that passed out of committee last session is the one on floor, but the striker amendment proposed on Monday by Senator Liias (who was one of the original bill sponsors) goes back to a ten round reference. The striker amendment basically redoes the entire proposal. But it also doesn't appear to limit the usage of pre-owned magazines, although you probably couldn't sell them. Maybe they think its more palatable.
My guess is that the Dems wouldn't be proposing the striker amendment unless it has support in the caucus.

Well, time for Magpul to research/develop 17-round AR/M4 mags.

It sucks that such a thing might be necessary for our friends n Washington, but it doesn't seem like a major engineering hurdle.

Does not seem financially viable to develop a specific mag for one set of rules when those rules could change (and likely will) in the future (more restrictive)

If they grandfather then there is no ban except possibly on where used and how transported.

Remember the end game is no black rifles and 10 round magazines. (and legalizing drugs, and no bail, and no traffic infractions, and no pursuit of vehicles, and police must witness a crime to act on it NO probable cause)
