Before you spend the gazillion bucks to send it to a pistolsmith, try painting the front sight. Birchwood Casey sells a pack of three paint pens - white, fluorescent green, and fluorescent red. You put two coats of white on the sight and top it off with your preferred color. I've got the red on three M10s, a M67, a M681, a M28, a M642, a M49, and a Detective Special. It really helps my geezer's eyes find the front sight. Other folks here have done a similar thing but using nail polish instead of paint.

Of course, if you just want a different front sight, rock on.

Cast some more 162 grain WC today. I will get them loaded up tomorrow and I am going to go shooting on Friday with @marcin . I have a pact timer now and I can shoot the Sunb Noir 25 round qualifier.

Well it isn't a 4" GP100, but I took the 60-4 to the range today and shot a couple of groups. I shot ok at 7 yards, but the J frame is much harder to shoot well than the full size guns.

That’s definitely the biggest J-frame alive ever seen.

    How's the QC on the new-production GP100s?

It is a 3 inch M60. It carries pretty nice AIWB.

My newest one is a 3 inch WC GP100 from the first run. It runs the same as the old GP100 I shoot most of the time.

Two new production GP100s this past fall. A 5" six shot, and a 4" seven shot. Not a thing to find fault with. A pleasure to shoot. I realize that's a small sample size, may not apply across the board.
