    Tenicor Zero

Tenicor released a new belt today designed with AIWB carry in mind. I’ve dropped some weight lately and am in need of a new belt so I ordered one. Kyle Defoor and Steve Fisher have both commented on it, appears promising.

I'm generally a big fan of Tenicor, but I'm not sure I like the idea behind the buckle. It seems less secure and more difficult to put on than a Mastermind Specialist Pro, and I'm not sure what you would gain.

This looks like a novel design. How will it be to adjust tightness of the belt throughout the day?

Nowhere in the carry equipment world is there more hype and placebo than belts. Every time a gun community celebrity lends their name to a product, pandemonium ensues. I remember years ago that Kyle Defoor was supposedly the "celebrity brain" behind the Raven Eidolon. Now he's in the Tenicor camp.

I hope this belt lives up to reasonable objective expectations based on actual performance and not because of where it's made / not made or whether the company is a site supporter or not.

KD4 and SouthNarc blessing it may be of some substance but what I really like is that it is (1 sewn by Wilderness, and (2 appears to probably be really comfortable under a heavy pack and waistbelt, so rolling equipment around after a long day outside will be that much simpler.

Currently, I wear a Mastermind velcro inner belt as my EDC belt. I constantly adjust it as I put on my AIWB holster and remove it to put my USPSA outer belt over for dry fire and live fire practice. Curious if it will easily adjust?

Kyle has been running Tenicor holsters for a fair bit now, as I recall.

I’m certainly intrigued by this offering, and it does seem to have some positive remarks from folks I would consider worth listening to. Hell, Craig Douglas helped sell me on The Specialist and he’s apparently been testing The Zero for at least two years now with a positive view of it so I’d be curious to hear his thoughts.

I will say that Jeff does seem to put a significant amount of time in to developing, evaluating and revising his products as needed.

I like the concept...but I have a feeling it might be a bit fiddly to get the level of tension / adjustment I'd want without undue effort. I'll be interested in learning more.

    1. Love that it is Made in the USA
    2. Love that it is sewn by Wilderness
    3. Love that it is low profile
    4. Concerned that fastening it is potentially a bit "fiddly" as someone else said
    5. Concerned that it will not stay taunt
    5. Concerned that at 59.99, it does not represent enough value add over Mastermind Tactics and Wilderness offerings in the 30.00 to 40.00 range shipped all day long.

    YMMV/FWIW

I’m going to roll the dice and give it a shot, ordered one earlier today. I like that there is no velcro to pull apart to take the belt off.
