    Discrete Rifle Case, 34-36 in

Dumb question that I'm honestly a little embarrassed to ask, but whatever: I want a very basic simple rectangular (I don't like the ones with the swept up bottoms towards the barrel) discrete rifle case (or at least that's what they used to be called). I used to have some and then it wasn't cool to have them anymore (kind of like a SMF vest). But, I just put a new optic setup on my main go-to SBR/carbine and would like to have some basic protection for $2,700 worth of optics and mount bumping around in and out of a vehicle. I don't want/need to spend $200 on something gucci, but also don't really want UTG level either. Something basic, but decent quality. I looked for Eagle (was in the cobwebs of my memory) but it looks like they don't make them anymore.

Discrete enough, or do you need something that looks like a musical instrument?

I'm looking for a soft padded nylon case/bag. After some additional googling, this is kind of what I'm thinking: https://www.boytharness.com/product/...ical-gun-case/

I am a musician (drummer) and as far as my neighbors are concerned, they regularly see me loading and unloading various cases. It doesn't have to be the sneakiest of sneaky, but also lack of molle, camo, external mag pouches and screaming GUN! would be nice.

I've gotten some decent rifle cases from Midway.

I've been pretty happy with my case from these guys for the price. I don't use it for anything that could be considered hard use, and just couldn't stomach paying $200+ for some of the options out there.

I've used guitar and bass guitar gig bags for this purpose. You should be able to find something for under $40 at your local music shop.

I have a couple Unique Breakdown Shotgun cases that I use to transport AR shaped objects with the upper and lower separated. Well padded, short, square, gun in the interior pockets, sling, magazines in the side pocket it becomes kind of a roundish duffle looking thing that nobody has looked twice at.

Edit to add, they make a Discrete case too

I manhandled this $75 bag last month at Evike (yes it is an airsoft company) and was blown away by the quality, the stitching and materials it is a better bag than the $200 London Bridge one I'm currently using. I would have bought it if I actually had a need for another rifle bag.

The bag is actually exactly the same one that saviour sells but less than half the price.

Evike is probably the largest airsoft retailer in the US and the quality of their house brand goods is above most "gun" branded products and far cheaper.

This. My carbine lives in an ESP electric guitar bag from the 90s.
