“Turknelli” Turkish Benelli M4 Clones ?

So apparently the patent on the Benelli M4’s ARGO gas system has expired resulting in Turkish Benelli M4 clones.

There are various names / importers of these and reviews online are mixed.

Anyone have any first hand experience with these ?

Any idea if they all come from the same factory ? Any advantages to one importers version vs others ?

I’ve been researching these a lot lately. The Toros T-4 seems to be the best of the breed from what I’ve read. I’m seriously thinking about getting one.

I've been wondering about these myself. Would love to have an M4 but dropping almost $2000 on a gun because I saw it in a video game 20 years ago isn't super high on my to-do list. I mean, I totally will. I just know that there are other things I should buy first. But a $600 knock-off is a lot easier to swing in every context.

    Here’s a 30something page thread on them on ARF.com.

From my hunting-based IG profile. Somewhat relevant as this was a Stoeger 3000 (Benelli M2 clone), but still, you gotta figure there's some carry-over. This was a brand-new gun on its first outing. It went through 100rds of sporting clays and then failed on the second covey of quail. Not my gun, belonged to a family friend.
