Just cruising the web and found this. Passing it along. I've bought from Bud's before, but they wouldn't know me if I walked through the front door.

Those are great guns. Hard to believe they have that many of them.
Funny how the gun in the photo is stamped 4516-2.
ETA: I might be a sucker for a 4586 (or better, 4546) at the right price, but I've owned enough third-gens to judge the right price at somewhat lower than Bud's is asking for these. Just my personal assessment. The reader's may be different.

Not another dime.
That's why I shared the link. I am a fan of the 3rd generation S&W semi-autos. Perfect, no, but my love for them started somewhere in 1978 when I bought my first generation model 59 blued. I really want a 4506.
I want a 4563.
I had to choose between a 4516 and a 3913 when they both first came out, and picked the 3913. It wasn’t the wrong choice, but in retrospect I should have found a way of getting the .45 too. I think they’ve been outclassed since then (I’d take a G30S over a 4516 hands down every time,) but they are iconic.

Yeah I saw that one too. Def a -2 in the pic. You can tell by the longer beavertail. Who knows whether it’s actually a 1 or 2 they have in stock.
I think the -2 also has a dual recoil spring setup vs. the -1… Which may be considered to be more reliable?
And since we’re on 3rd gens…
I actually just scored this bad boy off the Smith forum:
Don’t have it yet. But from what I hear, the PC 3rd gens are excellent.
I had a 6906 9mm that I bought new. Wish I had it back.
