    1. Since private business such as markets have been explicitly targeted for reasons such as racist hate in TX and NY, private businesses that are open to be public cannot not ban carry as it is a basic right of SD. As racial, gender, ethnic discrimination cannot be allowed in such businesses, discrimination against the carry of concealed guns should not be allowed under the aegis of the 2A. SD rights trump property rights. Businesses have to accept many regulations that they might not like and the property rights arguments do not void these regulations.

    2. Since schools and places where children gather have been repeatedly targeted in massacres, the needs of SD make such bans unconstitutional under the 2A.

    3. Public transportation is used in large part by minorities and persons of lesser income, a ban on such would be an implicitly racist and classist discriminatory process and thus unconstitutional (add civil rights quotes if necessary).

    4. Medical facilities in which the presence of a gun (such as the MRI room) can be dangerous or the gun leave the possession of the carrier due to procedures may ban carry.

    5. Federal, state and local buildings unless involved directly in criminal justice cannot ban carry (I really not adamant about this one though, did carry in TX Capitol).

That's giving it some thought in a pre-emptive manner.

About the abortion decision, I have better things to do than enter that crap fight here.
My point wasn't about the actual act of abortion, it was about allowing anyone to sue. NY/Ca said HA! We can do the same thing with firearms.

Hint, you can copy the URL of many webpages with paywalls and go to https://archive.ph/ and past them and it will often allow you to view it. This is a workaround for many pages with a paywall.

Think about the demographic requirements necessary for a person to be affected by CA's statewide standard-capacity magazine ban enacted in 2016. Then think about what confiscating the responsibly-owned property of people who fit that profile actually accomplishes. The answer quickly becomes clear.

As stated elsewhere, gun control significantly beyond the GCA of 1968 is an attack vector in the culture war. Nothing more, nothing less. In the short term, it drives people likely to be more conservative out of Democratic strongholds, cementing their grip and effectively locking in single-party control. In the long term, it contributes to people defaulting more and more to depending on the government for everything.

The state governments that were most heavily using gun control that way just took a serious loss in that battle, and they're pissed off about it after incremental ratcheting wins on their side since, well, forever. It's not surprising that they are responding in full-on attack mode.
That may well have been their logic. The only problem with that logic is the electoral college and how it backfired on them, culminating in their Chosen One losing in 2016 by neglecting the electoral votes of the rural states these conservatives were pushed into.

Yeah, but inside CA, NY, NJ, CT, etc., the people who make the laws that apply only to those places are all like, "Whatever, I do what I want!"

Though I just heard of it today, apparently back in Nov. the West Virginia AG sent Maryland Gov. Hogan a letter requesting the establishment of reciprocity in light of what he felt was the likely outcome of Bruen.

Ah ha, that's why I'm just hearing about it today. Apparently the AG sent a new letter this week.

As JoshS predicted, multiple magazine capacity limits and assault weapon bans were remanded for reconsideration based on the recent ruling.
