Sheridan Road relates to the former Fort Sheridan on the shore north of Chicago, and is a major north-south road going up into Wisconsin along Lake Michigan. The events of the trial occurred along Sheridan Road.

I think the feds only charge people when there's a minority involved. None of the deceased or the one armed combat medic were minorities.
The feds tried for 8 months to find something to charge Darren Wilson (Ferguson) with and they came up with nothing.

How is this a federal case? Federal property, civil rights, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2101, 2102 (1999)? Could be I guess but I'm thinking the DOJ would rather just let this one blow over. They have a lot on their plate these days. They don't quash riots these days anyway. I'm thinking they need to secure the border before they start doing local LE.

I would bet there were numerous out of state folks there smashing windows and lighting matches. One could hope the FBI would pursue folks who cross state lined to commit arson and looting.
