I have a dumb Hi Power question. Will removing the magazine safety allow the magazines to drop freely?

Yes. Usually, anyway. Unless the mag tube itself rubs somewhere inside the frame.

    Hi Power Replacement magazine Bases

    Folks:

Is there anyone making replacement magazine base pads for the Hi Power series of pistols? I love the Hi Power, but the magazine floor plates tend to cut up clothing even when I sand the edges. I have been unsuccessful using the search function. Thanks in advance.

Beretta 92 baseplates fit BHP mags...the front lip looks a little goofy sticking out, but they're compatible otherwise. Here's what it looks like when on the gun:

    Evil Ed:

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll grab several Beretta 92 base plates and fit them to my HP mags. Hopefully that will reduce some of the clothing damage.
    Gorgeous HP by the way.

Out of curiosity...does that mean BHP mag baseplates will work for Beretta 92 mags?
