    I remember when they couldn’t give them away. The first ones accepted .44 magnum, and a dumb ass buddy of mine shot a cylinder of magnum through them. Smith changed that quickly.
    Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

    Does your buddy still have the use of his hand? I'm afraid of a 329 with mags and load "special" Specials for my 396.

    I did not like shooting my wife’s 242, with .38 +P, 20+ years ago, as that thing was snappy, so, I am certain that I would not enjoy shooting a 296. (Shooting her 242 was an early warning that I had really wrecked my right hand, shooting big-bore Magnums, in the Eighties.)
