Anyone here use DefTech 40mm impact rounds?

We want to ditch the SAGE guns we have now and I have some questions.

PM me if you're familiar with these.

Kev, you should have my office phone # in the last PM I sent. I'm back to work Monday. I'll put you in touch with our armorers and you can pick their brains.

What issue(s) have been identified with the SAGE guns?

The double barrel launchers are about 70% reliable, have terrible triggers and the company is a pain to deal with. The multi-launchers are probably about 30% reliable.

When they work, they work, but I'm tired of dealing with them and would rather have a platform that doesn't use proprietary munitions.

Kev, are these for Patrol, SWAT or both? We use primarily CTS/Penn Arms 40mm Launchers for SWAT and Specialist Team use....and CTS 40mm rounds. Looking at acquiring some HK 169 40mm launchers for SWAT use. Patrol is pretty much limited to CTS 2581 Supersock 12ga rounds. In terms of reliability, in our experience CTS is the superior manufacturer.

Off still stands. Give us a call and I'll put you on with our armorers to discuss all of this.

I'll give you a call. I was just busier than a one-armed wall-paper hanger all this past week (after a 60 year old tree decided to fall into my utility line Sunday in the storm).

My agency has recently standardized 40mm launchers across the board (used to have 37mm on the patrol side). We are buying LMT single shot launchers. I believe there are Penn Arms still being fielded in the Sgt’s cars. Most of our deployments have been in crowd control situations. PM me any questions you have and I’ll reach out to a buddy of mine who is probably the one of the most knowledgeable at my agency on these systems.
