Show of hands. Who already put a call into Sokol? I know my good buddy just did.

You guys are going to make all the revolver folks sad and pouty.

I had a dealer buddy check - his cost is $523. I am sorely, sorely tempted.

    DA/SA v SA.

    Ambi safety v RH safety

I had an Italian 92. Never had a HP so I can't really compare. Beretta's are big pistols.
Not to stray from the original topic, but if anyone is interested in an Italian beretta, it's in this post from ar15.com

He sent me pics, it's pretty nice.

I was going to buy this, convert it to a G model, but changed my mind

I thought of even finding an IDF gun or an FM, or FEG.... And sending it to Sokol.
But for the price of the used HP's out there, I get the Springer when it is available, drop an SFS in it, and call it good.

I hope when I'm done with mine, I can ditch the plastic service pistols for good

I did that in August of '20, and went to a commander sized 1911, in 9mm.
    It's been a good fit.

Pretty sure I posted pics on P-F but can't find them searching via Tapatalk and/or off my phone.

Anyway I had a stainless Tisas that cracked down inside the frame along around the trigger guard. The gun still functioned, etc but I stopped shooting it as soon as I found the crack.

I did call C&S to let them know since they were selling Tisas guns with some custom upgrades.

LKCI replaced the gun under warranty. I haven't shot the replacement.

Edit--here's the thread. Google is my fried while Tapatalk I sometimes struggle with. Info and photos of crack in the last few pages:

My Mecgar magazines from Midway showed up today. I think they have been sitting on these for a while because the exterior of the packaging was pretty dusty.

Yeah, well the 15-rounders are now out of stock... I sure hope Mec-Gar has been ramping up production.
