The lack of a brace of Barbecue revolvers is a shortcoming I really need to remedy.
A matched pair of Open Top replicas in .38, deep blued and engraved Purdy style, with scrimshaw fossil ivory grips would be rather stunning.

Seriously, someone buy that. I've had it bookmarked for a couple weeks now. Engraving, refinishing (maybe high polish nickel, maybe Ford's master polish blue with nitre screws / proper case coloring) and Grashorn stocks with no bark has been rattling around in the back of my mind for awhile.
Someone on THR a long time ago had one of these set up like that and I've never been able to find that thread or those pictures since.
