Top is a Model 66, bottom is a 65 LS that the previous owner sent to the Smith custom shop for a carry action job and had the LS engraved side plate replaced with a non-engraved one. My favorite K Frame.

The 66-8 pictured in the previous post after Mr. Fink at the Gunsite Gunsmithy did a carry action job, installed a non-MIM trigger and replaced the Baughman front sight with a Patridge sight with gold bead.

I didn’t think I’d like the grips because they’re so smooth, as it turns out I like them a lot.

Unknown as I don’t shoot magnums in K Frames. In fact I rarely shoot +P. In this revolver I’ve shot a lot of Norma 158 FMJ (nominal 960 FPS) and BB 150 HCWC. A bit of 125-130ish +P. None were obnoxious.

My twin 4" 28-2's born 14 years apart:
Their 6" brother 28-2, wearing his Altamont grips:
A twin to my 625-1, the pic I have won't load:
And the strongest one of the bunch, my 6" 629-1:
And the Dan Wesson side of the family..
My 715:
My pretty 15-2:
The other 15-2 is ashamed of it's scars and won't pose for pics.
And their big brother, my 6" VH 44, with it's plum frame:
