Ive had friends kill T1s on 556 guns (range use nonabusive). Sometimes shit breaks, is what it amounts to.

That said, I prefer T2. The battery is better oriented to deal with recoil, and the sight has less mass to resist inertia during recoil. I use ADM Ti mounts for my setups, and they keep the optic perfect height for daytime use on the mid setting, and perfect for use under nods on the extended setting due to the 15* tube angle. It ends up being 2.15-2.3" equivalent on a carbine, basically.
