    Captain Kirk has Landed

90 year old! I regret that I will not live long enough to see us actually reach the stars. More power to William!

Did they let him say anything over the radio from space?
"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells." Robert Ruark

If he had, "Oh my" might have been perfect.

I watched the entire flight live on YouTube. Yeah it was cool that Captain Kirk went up. However I got the impression that space flight (if you can call that space flight) has been turned into a Side Show.

One consolation: Apparently my wife hasn't purchased enough from Amazon to get invited to go to space.

Same here. The commentary on all of these new launches kills it for me. It's like watching a party on the tv, it ain't really fun on the viewing end of it. I'd much rather hear the dialog between the crew and control. And I can't comprehend why someone would actually pay for that ride. If it lasted more than 10 minutes and did some orbits or just SOMETHING other than just going up and back down, I could probably understand it.
