1) Vaccine-mandate threats & threats of firings
2) Hiring of female assistant at unauthorized pay rates
3) 20+ days of unreported leave
4) Unreported damage to official vehicle
5) Statements to media contrary to official policy

Acevedo, who served as HPD police chief for over four years, departed Houston for Miami in late March. When he was hired as Miami’s top cop earlier this year, Acevedo was hailed by Miami’s mayor as the “Michael Jordan of police chiefs.”
