I can only imagine that he got a stern lecturing from his counsel for being a petulant bitch that is making their job harder.

His statements in that original post are a pretty good example that he thinks he's a victim in all this, and doesn't understand he has done something wrong. Same as you, I would certainly imagine that could factor into sentencing.

I was going to say something similar. It arguably looks like failing to accept responsibility (which is a specific sentencing factor in federal cases) because he believes there shouldn't be consequences for what he's done.

No kidding. It's not hard to find stories about how some clown ranted on social media about the injustice of his conviction, then he tried to act all contrite at sentencing and the judge didn't buy it.
