Mods can definitely move this to the appropriate thread (since, drift!) but I, too like the factory trigger. Especially since I cleaned it up a little. I could give a lot more detail if the community would like to hear it, but largely what I did was hit all the metal trigger parts that contact each other with 800/1000 grit sandpaper to smooth any tool marks and then polish with black compound and a buffing wheel on a bench grinder to get a mirror finish.
I don’t think it’s any lighter than before, but I don’t see how the aftermarket could get it cleaner or smoother. I focused on the trigger bar/ striker block interface, sear/striker interface, and the trigger bar/ sear actuator interface. Everything got a coating of grease. I could be happy just replacing the shoe and what I’m really contemplating is if replacing the shoe for $100 and getting a little lighter pull is worth it.
Also did the RMR mod; pics since pic thread!
Ran 150 rounds through my M&P 40 I’ll be switching to at work and retiring my Beretta to off duty carry.
I put the Pro Texture from Talon Grips on it for a little extra grip in less than perfect weather.
The M&P40 with TLR1-HL is a little lighter than the 92A1 TLR1-HL combo it replaced
I added the Talon Grips Pro grips to it
I’m wondering if we should allow @newyork to keep posting legit M&P pics since he’s always stating in other threads that he’s dumping his M&Ps to be all-in on Glock!!?? Seems like he’s leaving the club. In or out, man!!
