    GJM,

Not to derail this thread, but had a chance to shoot a box of 180 grain ball through a G5 G22 the other day and it was surprisingly soft shooting. About as soft as my G17.5 but slightly slower return to battery. Really enjoyable and I don’t enjoy 40s much.

I now understand what you mean by the G23.5 being very un-40ish.

End of the day, I got to shoot some Underwood Lehigh penetrators out of the 23 MOS. Fifteen rounds, because I was using a G22 magazine. No issues and the ammo felt very soft shooting.

I was set up at 18 yards, because of another drill we were doing. This is the first five rounds, using the circle only on the 509T X2.

Looked a bit high and right, and I switched to the dot only and shot the remaining ten rounds.

Then I shot five rounds of 165 grain Gold Dot.

Based on the three groups, I am giving it two clicks left. Interestingly, I shot a bare 4.5 PDP, meaning no light or brass back strap, with 124 +P Gold Dot to confirm zero after putting the Acro on to replace the Steiner, and it had more felt recoil than the 23 MOS with Gold Dot. I wonder if you could put a Gen 5 9mm, or a conversion barrel in, because that would be a soft shooting 9!

I woulda left it alone, or at most one click.
Doesn't read posts longer than two paragraphs.

I cheated by throwing the Wheeler on for a second opinion, and it agreed with three.

This thing is so pleasant to shoot, it is crowding out the 19 for EDC.

Nice. The gen 5 slides are heavier, as I understand it. Have you weighed yours?

Just a tad over three ounces heavier than a Gen 5 19 slide.

Wow, three ounces is quite a bit. What total weight? My gen 2 23s weigh in at .77 pound.
