I'm not sure how well that would work with the Gen5's heavier slide.

Just for grins I put my 23 Gen 5 slide on my G45 frame today. I did not change the ejectors. I had numerous failures to feed which appeared to be magazine related but were not. The Ejector on the G45 was crowding the magazine and causing feed ramp failures. The same mags and ammo ran like a clock in my Gen 5 22. (But when it ran it was very controllable).

That combo did not work for me either.

I believe the Gen 5 .40 ejector is marked 42031, and the Gen 4 .40 is 28926.

Interesting. I think if I decide to make a 23X I will just buy another 23 and swap it with one of my 45's. I am leaning toward just sticking with purchasing a 35MOS when they come out. I'm getting to the point where I can't see sights to well and have to start doing the red dot thing.

The best resource usually for numbers, markings, etc. is the GLOCK website under “Downloadable Materials”-under “Trigger mechanism housing”. From that source: 9mm GEN5 marked “47201”; .40 marked “50705” for GEN5.40 caliber Glocks…
